The Lord is continually blessing the fellowship gathering of Filipino and foreign students every Friday  from 6:30  to 8:00 at Searca Hostel, UPLB. For this semester, ICM welcomes the attendance of four foreign graduate students: Albertha and Beatrice from Zambia, Iman from Iran and Bryan from Myanmar. Peter, an American has been regularly attending. He is not a graduate student but resides in Searca. The average attendance is 12 which includes our Filipino friends.

We are amazed at the working of God in the life of Bryan. He is blind but manages to study like normal student. He has a “talking computer”, which allows him to study and do reports. He would scan books, readings and lectures in his computer and the reader application would read these to him. The computer keys also produce sounds which allows him to do his reports. God’s power is seen in this man. We are fortunate to have him. On one meeting, he  surprised us with a bowl of apples, which he cut himself. It was such a heartwarming gesture from this blind man. May ICM be a blessing to his soul.

In  our discussion, we are studying the book on Work and Leisure in Christian Perspective by Leland Ryken. It has opened to us a liberating and enlightening outlook on work and leisure. For our Bible study, Pastor Rodel is expounding the Sermon on the Mount which as always are precious food for the soul. May God’s hand lead ICM for His Kingdom Glory.
